A collection of resources and info

The BadgEurope Toolkit consists of a collection of resources connected through the underlying roll-out process and personalized recommendations.

The BadgeCanvas is a tool that can help you and your team to formulate and agree on important dimensions to consider in a Digital Credential roll-out.

We created a self-assessment questionnaire with two goals: To personalise recommendations based on your current situation and goals; and to make you aware of important dimensions and topics to consider before or while to roll-out your digital credentialing project and build a long-term strategy.

Issuing digital credentials requires a couple of considerations that influence the choice of technology both short and long-term. In theory, creating and delivering a digital credential, e.g. in the form of an Open Badge, is nothing more than adding some meta-information in a defined format to a container, and "giving it to the recipient". The practice is a bit less straightforward.

In order to create success in using digital badges, you need to know who should be involved and how you want to inform them. In this section you can identify, map and analyse your stakeholders.

Understanding what to badge - or the Credentialing Framework - involves considering the purpose and goals of the badge system, the criteria for earning a badge, and the audience for the badges. By carefully considering these factors, organisations can design badge systems that are effective, meaningful, and valuable to the individuals who earn them.
